McLoughlin Plumbing Heating Cooling Part of HomeServe

HomeServe Furthers Pennsylvania, Mid-Atlantic Presence with McLoughlin Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Acquisition

Norwalk, CT (August 02, 2021) – HomeServe today announces the acquisition of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania-based McLoughlin Plumbing, Heating & Cooling (McLoughlin). A leading provider of service plans, repair, and installation services for the home, HomeServe continues to bolster its nationwide presence with a growing network of locally branded HVAC and plumbing companies. McLoughlin marks HomeServe's fifteenth such acquisition; its third in Pennsylvania.

McLoughlin has a long record of serving customers in the Greater Philadelphia area, having been started in 1965 by Edward McLoughlin. Prior to being acquired by HomeServe, the company was run by Edward's sons, brothers William (Bill) and Robert (Bob) McLoughlin, who manage a team of over 40 employees. Bill and Bob both will remain part of the McLoughlin team, as General Manager and Comfort Advisor, respectively.

Rob DiPietro, Managing Director, HVAC at HomeServe: "Companies with reputations like McLoughlin Plumbing, Heating & Cooling – which we consider the best of the best in this industry – are a perfect fit for HomeServe. I'm excited that Bill, Bob and the McLoughlin team are now part of HomeServe, helping to expand our reach in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania as well as the Mid-Atlantic."

Not only is the McLoughlin team committed to customer excellence, which is evident in their 4.6-star Google rating, they have a rich history of supporting deserving organizations in their community. From kids baseball, softball and hockey to notable local and national organizations, the McLoughlin team knows what it means to be part of the community where they live and work.

Bill McLoughlin: "McLoughlin has been providing superior plumbing, heating, air conditioning, sewer and drain cleaning services since 1965 to the residents of Southeast Pennsylvania. We're proud of the relationships we've built with our customers over the years – some lasting for generations. At McLoughlin, we've long had the mantra of 'service expected, quality guaranteed.' And as we considered the best company for us to be part of for our future growth, we knew it needed to be one who shared that sentiment. With HomeServe, we're confident our commitment to our customers and high level of expertise provided to them will remain the same, and we're excited to be part of a company who knows and understands the value people working in the skilled trades bring to their local communities."
