Leaking Dishwasher Repair Part of Thousands in Savings for Homeowner

Sharon of Tallmadge, Ohio was doing her typical nightly chores one evening, which included loading and starting the dishwasher. When she started the cycle, she noticed that there seemed to be a leak. So, she stopped it, moved some items around and started it again. But the problem persisted.

After some quick investigation, Sharon and her husband realized something was definitely wrong and quickly called HomeServe. The couple has been customers of HomeServe for over five years and are enrolled in several plans available in their area – including an Appliance Repair and Replacement plan.

“This isn’t the first, second, or third time that I’ve had to call HomeServe,” said Sharon. “So basically, we knew that as soon as we made the call, we’d be taken care of. It’s a good customer experience every time.”

HomeServe promptly sent out a local and reliable member from our contractor network, Appliance Repair Done Better. The technician was able to recognize the problem fairly quickly: a hole in the dishwasher’s hose behind the unit. Soon enough, the dishwasher was in working order. And before she knew it, Sharon saved another $235.

“The technician that came out was not only professional, but also extremely patient and meticulous,” said Sharon. “He knew what he was doing and left absolutely no mess. We never felt like we were waiting on him; he came when he said he would.”

“My husband even works for a competitor, but we refuse to switch. Everybody is consistently wonderful, and when you find a company with a quality of service like this, you don’t let it go.”

Sharon first learned of HomeServe when she worked at the local electric utility. She remembers weighing the low cost of the plans against the risk of something going wrong in her home. She felt it was worth it, and since then, she’s enrolled in nearly every available service plan in her area. In Sharon’s near six years of being a HomeServe customer, she’s made 10 service calls, which have saved her more than $8,000 over the years. Her largest repair was a sewer line replacement a few years ago, which saved her more than $4,000.

“I’ll stay with HomeServe forever, and I mean that,” said Sharon. “My husband even works for a competitor, but we refuse to switch. Everybody is consistently wonderful, and when you find a company with a quality of service like this, you don’t let it go.”
