HomeServe Partnership Continues for Fayette County Residents through 2026

Since 2016, program has saved participating residents nearly $200,000 in plumbing repair expenses

Dunbar, Pa. – September 29, 2022 – One of the most difficult parts of homeownership is when something goes wrong. Beyond the financial expense, the stress of coordinating repairs is a hassle for many. That’s why since 2016, the North Fayette County Municipal Authority has offered a program that gives its resident homeowners an optional and affordable way to protect themselves against these situations. The program, which was just renewed for another five-year term, is available through HomeServe, an independent provider of home repair service solutions.

Since the inception of the program, the 600 participating residents have saved nearly $200,000 combined. Even though the optional, no deductible policies start at just $5.99 per month, the average savings per job when a repair was needed has been over two thousand dollars. Those results have demonstrated the value of this program for residents – a major factor in the Authority’s decision to relaunch and remind local homeowners about the offering.

These are repairs homeowners otherwise would have had to pay for out-of-pocket without one of the available service plans under the program. Through the partnership with HomeServe, homeowners who are North Fayette County Municipal Authority customers have access to optional no-deductible repair service plans that cover water and sewer service line repairs or in-home plumbing emergencies. When a covered repair arises, homeowners with a repair plan have access to local, qualified contractors who can complete the repair quickly.

In light of the program’s recent renewal, eligible North Fayette County homeowners will soon receive updated information in the mail about the available optional plans. The program is provided at no cost to North Fayette County and no public funds are used to promote or administer it.

Many North Fayette County homeowners have taken advantage of the optional plans, and have great things to say about their experiences:

  • Sharon from Uniontown: “They were able to solve my problem very quickly after I called about the issue. They were extremely professional and left no mess. I’m very pleased.”

  • Patricia from Perryopolis: “Great communication and professionalism. They fixed my problem promptly!”

“We have been pleased to observe the success of our program with HomeServe over the last five years, and look forward to five more,” said Kenny Martray, General Manager at North Fayette County Municipal Authority. “With the age of many homes in our community, continuing to make this optional tool available to homeowners to help protect them from costly repairs makes a lot of sense for our residents.

“A HomeServe repair plan not only aims to alleviate the worry for our customers, but also the stress of coordinating repairs and most important, paying for them,” said Tom Rusin, CEO, HomeServe North America. “The North Fayette County Municipal Authority has demonstrated through their program with us that they want to make owning a home as easy as possible for county residents. In the last five years, we’ve completed about $200 thousand worth of jobs, and hope to see more residents benefiting with this renewed partnership.”

Interested residents should lookout for fliers in the mail that will have the North Fayette County Municipal Authority Logo along with the HomeServe logo to learn more on available plans. They can also visit www.homeserveusa.com for more information.
