Lacerations Reported in Recall of Liberty Hardware Glass Cabinet Knobs

Liberty Hardware is recalling about 38,000 glass cabinet knobs sold between July 2016 and September 2021. If you purchased these knobs, beware: According to a recall alert published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the glass stem of the knobs can break during use, posing an injury risk.

According to the Oct. 27 recall, there have been 29 reports of the knobs breaking during use, including three reports of laceration injuries.

This recall involves the Mercury Glass Cabinet Knobs, which are painted to look like mercury glass, and the Flower Glass Cabinet Knobs, which are pink. Both are about 2 inches in diameter. They were manufactured in China and sold at The Home Depot stores, as well as online at,, and, for $4 to $6.
