Norwalk, Conn. (April 10, 2019) – Earlier this month, HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home repair solutions, launched the HomeServe Cares Foundation. With the mission of “Spreading Hope and Supporting Communities One Home at a Time,” the HomeServe Cares Foundation is built on four pillars: Caring For People, Caring For Community, Caring For Vets and Caring For Good.

This week, HomeServe is rolling out details of its Caring For Community initiative, which is based upon a new grant program for municipalities and non-profits to help fund community-based projects. The grant program is intended to help organizations in communities jump-start a project that will benefit residents or infuse needed funds into existing programs.

Priority will be given to projects that focus on aging in place, homeless or disabled veterans, low income housing and residents, and park accessibility improvements. Applications for the first two grant awards in the amount of $25,000 will be accepted beginning Wednesday, April 10, 2019 and are due by Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11:59 pm ET. Applications will be assessed based on impact, execution and innovation, with award announced on or before Friday, May 31, 2019. All projects must be completed by February 15, 2020. Full details about the grant program are available at https://www.homeserve.com/sc/corporate-social-responsibility/grants-program.

“HomeServe is committed to putting people at the heart of everything we do,” said HomeServe CEO John Kitzie. “Our Caring For Community grant program is a way for HomeServe to provide support to communities who are undertaking projects that will make their towns a better place to live, learn and work. At HomeServe, we are completely committed to spreading hope and supporting communities, one home at a time.”

The program will also be promoted through the National League of Cities savings and solutions partner, Grant Access. As the only service line warranty program endorsed by the National League of Cities, HomeServe’s Caring For Community grant program is another way that the company can help strengthen communities. HomeServe has a long legacy of giving back to communities and helping homeowners in need. The launch of the HomeServe Cares Foundation will bring together the company’s existing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, as well as many new ones, to make an even greater impact. Details about the HomeServe Cares Foundation are available on the new website, https://www.homeserve.com/sc/corporate-social-responsibility.
