You are not eligible if your home is a recreational vehicle or otherwise intended to be moved; your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your system before enrollment; your entire system is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners' association or the like; uses refrigerant which does not meet federal, state or any other applicable regulatory or code requirements; has non-compliant components; exceeds 5 tons capacity; is installed on a roof, is an ammonia cooling, geothermal heat pump, ductless, window, through the wall or hanging unit; or is not installed according to manufacturer specifications.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the following broken or failed parts of a central forced-air heat pump/air conditioning system fueled by electricity, that has experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: Auxiliary heat strips, blower motors, blower wheels, capacitors, circuit boards, condensate pumps, condenser fans and blades, condenser fan motors, contactors, exposed and accessible low voltage wiring, fan controls, fan relays, filter dryers, fuses, hard start kits, limit controls, manufacturer installed controls, non-Wi-Fi controlled standard thermostats, Schrader type valve cores, service port valve caps, sight glasses, standard thermostat sub-bases, thermal expansion valves, thermal fuses, time delay controls, transformers, visible and accessible condensate lines, and visible refrigerant leaks. Coverage provides for repairs or replacement of parts only. Your system will not be replaced

Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 10-day waiting period before you can make a service call, giving you less than 12 full months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period. Tune-Up: You are entitled to one annual system tune-up, which must be scheduled by you. Tune-ups are available between March 1st and June 30th. Tune-ups requested outside this time frame are subject to an additional fee.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
