Who We Are
At HomeServe, our mission is simple: to help free our customers from the worry and inconvenience of home emergency repairs and installations. And since 2003, we’ve been doing just that. HomeServe is the leading provider of home repair solutions, serving nearly 5 million loyal customers with repair service plans and many more who use our additional solutions throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Our goal is to provide homeowners with the tools to help them protect against the expense, worry and inconvenience of plumbing, water, sewer, electrical, heating and cooling emergencies. HomeServe prides itself on providing quality local service and expert installation services.
How do we do this? For nearly two decades, HomeServe has been working with leading utilities and municipalities – now numbering over 1,100 – to make optional service plans available to their customers, members, and residents. These home repair plans help cover household systems that many homeowners are unaware of their responsibility to maintain. (It's a fact: systems that break from everyday wear and tear are typically not covered by basic homeowners' insurance, the utility, or the municipality.) Our contractor network, a group of over 2,500 locally owned small businesses consisting of some of the best home repair experts across the country, allows us to deliver a quality service experience to our customers when they need us.

What We Offer
Residential Infrastructure Repair Plans
HomeServe’s core customers are homeowners who enroll in various service plans designed to help protect them from the high cost and hassle of covered emergency repairs. These optional plans cover parts and labor to repair critical household infrastructure including plumbing, electrical, gas, heating, cooling, and water heating systems.
These affordable plans provide repair service in an emergency arranged through our 24/7 repair hotline. Repair service is provided by local, licensed, and insured contractors. Covered repairs come with a one-year guarantee.**
**Surge and tech protection plans have 90-day guarantee.
HVAC Maintenance, Repair and Installation
HomeServe is more than just a repair service plan company. We are also a large contractor with a growing national presence. We provide maintenance, repair, and installation services across the HVAC (heating & cooling), plumbing and electrical trades. We operate under 20 well-known and reputable brands in 10 markets located in 12 states within the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast and Southwest regions. These businesses employ 1,200 people, including 800 technicians, who help deliver a 5-star repair experience to local homeowners and customers in certain areas who have plans from HomeServe. These services also offer homeowners the chance to transition to a more energy efficient home (since heating and cooling equipment make up more than half of the home energy consumption.)

What our customers are saying:
Our History
HomeServe was founded in 1993 by entrepreneur Richard Harpin when he approached South Staffordshire Water in the midlands of the United Kingdom with the idea to create a unique service program to help homeowners with emergency plumbing repairs using qualified local technicians. From that simple idea came a global public company serving the needs of millions of homeowners in partnership with utilities across Europe, North America and Japan.
Here in North America, HomeServe began operations in 2003 and grew to become the leading provider of repair service programs to municipalities and utilities serving their homeowner customers across the United States and in Canada since 2014.
At its core, our business is built on providing high quality maintenance, repair and installation services across the plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades with independent and employed technicians. But our vision doesn’t stop here. We are continuing to grow our capabilities in those same skilled trade areas through strategic acquisitions of high quality, locally branded companies, that enable us to drive greater adoption of energy efficient equipment to meet the increasing demands of our utility partners, their customers, and the environment.
In January 2023, Brookfield Infrastructure acquired HomeServe plc. HomeServe North America was separated from its global counterparts to become a standalone entity serving the North American market. Under this ownership structure, HomeServe is positioned to meet the growing needs of homeowners across North America with existing and emerging residential infrastructure repair and installation needs well into the future.
