Apprenticeships are work-based, government funded, training programmes for young people aged 16 and over. They are a great way to combine practical training in a job whilst studying. Apprentices gain hands-on experience and learn skills that employers want, helping them to develop rewarding future careers.
Apprenticeships are fast becoming one of today’s preferred structured careers’ routes. It addresses skills gaps, whilst creating employment opportunities across many sectors.
They offer a combination of on and off the job learning leading to a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeship can vary in length and are tailored, dependent on the level of apprenticeship and the apprentice’s skills and previous experience.
