  • Damage or failure due to disconnection or interruption to the main electrical supply; transformers; generators; non-utility supplied power and/or lines; appliances; meter pedestals; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. The meter that measures the amount of electricity used is not covered by this plan, but it may be covered by your local utility. Costs on covered repairs may exceed the benefit limit, in which case you pay the difference between the cost and the benefit limit. Additional exclusions apply.

Eligibility: This description of coverage, exclusions and conditions is not the actual contract; the actual contract will be sent to you within approximately 10 business days after we receive your Form. To be eligible, you must own (not rent) both the residential single structure and the land it is located on and you must be a SoCalGas® natural gas customer. Benefit Details: Coverage for repairs from HomeServe (as the plan administrator for AMT Home Protection) or any other provider is optional and you can decide if coverage is right for you. Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the broken, failed or hazardous permanent high voltage overhead or underground wiring, and the weatherhead, insulator, riser, meter base, and service entrance conductor located between your utility’s responsibility and the exterior wall of your home, for which you have sole responsibility, that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Frayed high voltage wiring that is still functional is also covered.
Not covered: Damage or failure due to disconnection or interruption to the main electrical supply; transformers; generators; non-utility supplied power and/or lines; appliances; meter pedestals; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. Making a Service Call: Your coverage starts the day your form is processed, and you can make a service call immediately.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe at 1-888-302-0138. You may cancel within 30 days of your start date for a full refund less any claims paid (where applicable); cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund less any claims paid (where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price and is billed monthly through your utility bill.
