  • Refrigerant and refrigerant conversions, air filters, compressors, condenser or evaporator coils, electric disconnects, remote-control devices, metering devices that require a pump down and 4-way valves, service valves, condensate drain line replacement, air handler covers and air vanes, condenser jacket, mufflers and pencil dryers, Apple Catechin and ion filters; any inspections, seasonal turn-on/offs, or maintenance work not included in a tune-up; remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials; any sections/parts not installed properly; repairs or replacement protected under other coverage; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the following for which you have sole responsibility, that have experienced an operational failure and are damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: the broken or failed parts of a ductless heating or air conditioning system with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) rating of 24 or less: blower motors, blower wheels, circuit boards, the clearing of accessible condensate lines, condensate pumps, condenser fan blades, condenser fan motors, defrost control boards, electrical filter boards, inverter boards (variable speed drives), power boards, air handler boards, vane motors, sensor bars, defrost sensors, electronic expansion valve power head, fuses, removable valve cores, service port valve caps, transformers, or thermistor, and visible refrigerant leaks. Coverage provides for repairs or replacement of parts only. Your system will not be replaced. Technicians must have safe access to the work area. Tune-up: You are entitled to one annual system tune-up, which must be scheduled by you. Tune-ups are performed between March 1st and June 30th. Tune-ups requested outside these time frames are subject to an additional fee.

Making a Service Call: You can make a service call immediately after your plan starts, which is 10 days after your enrollment is processed. Upon renewal/restart (if applicable), you can make a service call immediately.
Cancellation: Cancel your plan any time by calling HomeServe or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days before your plan start date, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 30 days after the plan start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid). If you cancel 31 or more days after the plan start date, you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.

When can I make a service call?
Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, giving you 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
