Important coverage information
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace an exterior water service line that has experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, from your utility's responsibility or external wall of your well casing to the water meter or main shut-off valve inside your home that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Repair or replacement of non-functioning stop boxes, shut-off valves, pressure reducing valves and backflow prevention devices is also covered. Restoration to your pavement, yard or landscaping disturbed as part of a covered repair is included, up to the benefit limit.
Not covered: Frozen lines, branch lines, any tanks or appliances, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances, including pandemics, hostilities and work slowdowns, acts of God, including natural disasters and extreme weather; loss from unauthorized access or use of any system or any destruction or deletion of data or software; excluded damages; correction of, or reimbursement for, any repairs or restorations made by you or anyone you hire not authorized by us; replacement, correction, upgrade or move, including your meter, in order to meet any code, law, regulation, ordinance or utility directive; repair or replacement for any system covered by a manufacturer's warranty, service contract or insurance policy or involved in a manufacturer's recall or class action; any section that is shared with a third party or is covered by a homeowners', condominium, or like association; remediating or notifying you about mold or other hazardous materials; repairs or replacements when no operational failure has occurred; shared sections, including your meter, that provide service to multiple properties or secondary buildings; and repair or replacement of any sections or parts that are not stated to be covered in the Terms and Conditions. Costs on covered repairs may exceed the benefit limit, in which case you pay the difference between the cost and the benefit limit. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
