Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limits, the following for which you have sole responsibility, that are damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Interior Electrical Line: Repair or replacement of the broken, failed or hazardous high voltage wiring from the service entrance at the weatherhead or tap underground through the receptacle or fixture box, including fuses, receptacles, connectors, switches and outlets, disconnect boxes and all wiring, breakers and switches contained within them. Electric Vehicle Home Charger: Reimbursement for 1 broken, failed, or hazardous level 2 electrical charging device used for the charging of plug-in electric vehicles, including plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Not covered: Damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances and the product-specific exclusions below. Interior Electrical Line: Appliances, service entrance conductors; knob and tube wiring, aluminum, or non-standard/non-permanent materials; damage or failure due to disconnection or interruption to the main electrical supply; repair or replacement to any wiring that leaves your home. Additional exclusions apply. Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a repair service call, giving you 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period. Must obtain HomeServe’s prior approval of reimbursement before buying a replacement EV charger.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
