- Meter moves or replacements except when required by local code; appliances, fixtures, pressure regulating devices, systems not supplied by a utility or propane provider, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. Costs on covered repairs may exceed the benefit limit, in which case you pay the difference between the cost and the benefit limit. Additional exclusions apply.
Eligibility: To be eligible, you must own the residential single structure or a unit within a structure. If your gas line extends beyond the walls of your home, you must own the land on which it is located. You are not eligible if your home is a recreational vehicle or otherwise intended to be moved; your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your gas line before enrollment; or your gas line is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners' association or the like. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace a gas line that has experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, from your utility's responsibility or external propane tank outlet connection up to and including the connectors to each natural gas/propane appliance on your property, whether inside or outside your residence, up to and including the appliance connectors on the extension gas lines that exit your home, that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Restoration to your pavement, yard, landscaping and interior surfaces of your home disturbed as part of a covered repair is included, up to the benefit limit.
Not covered: Meter moves or replacements except when required by local code; appliances, fixtures, pressure regulating devices, systems not supplied by a utility or propane provider, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. Costs on covered repairs may exceed the benefit limit, in which case you pay the difference between the cost and the benefit limit. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.

What should I know about Gas Restoration?
We will reimburse you for up to $1,000 for each Covered Repair for restoration of your pavement, yard, or landscaping disturbed by the Covered Repair. This includes sod, mulch, shrubs no more than 5 gallons, trees no taller than 6 feet, and resetting of landscaping bricks and stones for sidewalks, driveways, walls, and patios. We will also reimburse you for up to $500 for each Covered Repair for restoration of the interior surfaces of your home disturbed by the Covered Repair. This includes the costs of patching, resetting or replacing sheetrock, plaster, wood paneling, moulding, cabinets, wallpaper, paint and fixtures. Additional exclusions apply.
