Home Heat Repair (Gas/Electric Only)

Eligibility: To be eligible, you must own the residential single structure or a unit within a structure. You are not eligible if your home is a recreational vehicle or otherwise intended to be moved; your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your system before enrollment; your system is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners' association or the like; has a furnace or boiler rated at inputs of 400,000 Btu/hr. or more; is installed on a roof, is a through-the-wall, hanging, geothermal heat pump, combination ambient heat/domestic hot water heating or oil unit; or is not installed according to manufacturer specifications. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.
Benefit Details: Plan includes one tune-up for a fully functioning natural gas, propane, electrical central forced-air, or circulating hot water central heating system, for which you have sole responsibility. A tune-up includes the following. Check: thermostat operation; system temperature split; voltage and amperage to all motors. Inspect: disconnect; fuses; wiring; contactors; relays and pressure controls; electrical safety circuits; indoor blower and motor for dirt buildup; condensate drain; burners; duct seal at unit and secure panels; and bearings. Clean (if necessary): burner; condensate line and air filter. Replace: air filter (customer supplied). Lubricate (if necessary): fan and motor units. Run and test system. Plan also includes a $500 discount on the installation of a new heating system performed by HomeServe. Installation must be paid by you to the technician directly.
Not covered: More than 2 thermostat zone(s); any costs associated with any discounts offered. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: Scheduling your Tune-Up: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. Tune-ups are perenrollmented between March 1st and June 30th. Tune-ups requested outside these time frames are subject to an additional fee.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
