Why You Should Get a Plan
Repair or replacement of an interior, exterior plumbing systems, water heater and gas line can cost thousands of dollars‡.
Exterior water service line, sewer/septic line, interior plumbing, water heater and gas line problems can cause:
- a visible water leak in your yard
- blocked or slow shower or sink drains
- clogged/backed up drains inside your home
- hot water to run out too quickly
- inefficient or non-working heating and hot water system
- issues with gas appliances
- no hot water for showering or washing
- sewage backed up in your yard
Many homeowners do not know that basic homeowners’ insurance only covers things like property damage to your home, but not damage due to normal wear and tear to your exterior water service lines, exterior sewer/septic line, interior plumbing and drainage lines, water heater and gas line. If any of these systems fail it can be a hassle and may cost you thousands of dollars if replacement is needed. Note: If you suspect you have a gas leak, please leave the area and call your gas company or 911 immediately. ‡National average repair costs as of December 2024. No charge for covered repairs up to your service call benefit amount.
