  • Repairs to damage arising from the disconnection or interruption to the main electrical supply; transformers; repair of low voltage wiring; generators; non-utility supplied power and/or lines; appliances; resetting of circuit breakers or system controls; repairs consisting of knob and tube wiring, aluminum, or other non-standard/non-permanent materials; non-standard wall switches; dimmers; remote control outlets; service entrance conductors; any fixture that must be plugged into an electrical outlet; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. The meter that measures the amount of electricity used is not covered by this plan, but it may be covered by your local utility. Additional exclusions apply.

Eligibility: An owner of a residential single structure, or a unit within a structure, that is not intended to be moved, and the land it is located on may be eligible for coverage. This includes single family homes (inclusive of manufactured housing), townhomes and apartments. An owner of a single residential structure that includes multiple units may also be eligible. If you own a multifamily residence, you must provide the specific unit mailing address for each service agreement you purchase. Recreational vehicles and properties used for commercial purposes are not eligible. Your property is not eligible if you are aware of any pre-existing conditions, defects or deficiencies with your system(s) prior to enrollment or have an electrical services entrance rated less than 80 amps. If your entire system(s) is shared with any third party, or covered by a homeowners', condominium or like association, then you are not eligible.

Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe at 1-844-848-0465. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). If you cancel after the first 30 days you will be entitled to a refund of 90% of the unearned pro-rata price less any claims paid (where applicable). Renewal: Your coverage is based on an annual contract and is billed on a monthly basis through your utility bill, described as Water Protection Plan. Your service agreement will be automatically renewed annually at the then-current renewal price. Once enrolled, your full Terms and Conditions including complete coverage details and exclusions, warranties and disclaimers will also be sent to you. FPLES is an unregulated subsidiary of FPL.
