Exclusions

  • Frozen lines, any tanks or appliances, lines that have failed a proactive inspection or test when no operational failure has occurred, branch lines, replacement of any artificial grass or plants, restoration to water structures, pastures or wooded areas, remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials, any sections/parts not installed properly, repairs or replacement protected under other coverage, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe. Additional exclusions apply.

Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the following for which you have sole responsibility, that has experienced an operational failure and is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: the exterior water line from your utility’s responsibility or external wall of your well casing to the water meter or main shut-off valve inside your home. Repair or replacement of non-functioning stop boxes, shut-off valves, pressure reducing valves and backflow prevention devices is also covered. Restoration to your pavement, yard or landscaping disturbed as part of a covered repair is included, up to the benefit limit. Technicians must have safe access to the work area.

Making a Service Call: Your coverage starts once your enrollment is received and processed by HomeServe, and you can make a service call as soon as your plan starts. 
Cancellation: Cancel your plan any time by calling HomeServe at or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. You may cancel within 30 days of your start date for a full refund; cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a refund of 90% of the unearned pro-rata price (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
