The last thing any homeowner wants to worry about is what to do if their exterior water, sewer/septic or interior plumbing lines break down. With a plan from HomeServe, you simply call to schedule a repair and a qualified contractor is sent to your door to handle the problem, with no out-of-pocket bills to you for covered repairs up to the benefit amount.
Coverage provides peace of mind for covered repairs to your exterior sewer/septic and water service lines and interior plumbing line.
Important coverage information
Eligible
- An owner of both a residential single structure permanently secured to the ground and the land it is located on
- Exterior Sewer/Septic Line: Eligibility: Residences that have had any roots removed from the exterior sewer/septic line or failed a smoke or dye test without resolution prior to enrollment
Not Eligible
- If your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your system(s) before enrollment; or your entire system(s) is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners’ association or the like
Exclusions
- Damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. Exterior Water Service Line: Frozen lines. Exterior Sewer/Septic Line: Septic/collection tanks; leaching fields; non-conforming drain lines; branch lines. Interior Plumbing: Appliances; fittings or fixtures; vent stacks; pressure reducing valves; backflow prevention devices; fire suppression and other sprinkler systems; irrigation systems; distribution piping such as for radiators and heating systems; condensate drain lines for cooling systems; pumps or grinders; frozen pipes. Additional exclusions apply.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace system(s), that have experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, that are damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Exterior Water Service Line: The line from your utility’s responsibility or external wall of your well casing to the water meter or main shut-off valve inside your home. Branch lines and repair or replacement of non-functioning pressure reducing valves and backflow prevention devices is also covered. Exterior Sewer/Septic Line: The sewer line from the external wall of your home up to your utility’s responsibility, or septic line from the external wall of your home up to the point of connection to the septic tank on your property, including branch drains from the point they exit the home to the point they re-enter the home. Repair or replacement of non-functioning grinder pumps and backflow prevention devices is also included. Interior Plumbing: The plumbing lines that carry fresh water throughout the inside of your home.

Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
