Important coverage information
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the following for which you have sole responsibility, that has experienced an operational failure or is hazardous and is damaged due to normal wear and tear, falling trees, tree branches, high winds or ice, not accident or negligence: the broken or frayed (in the case of wiring) permanent electrical wiring, including the ground wire and service entrance conductor between your utility’s responsibility and the exterior wall of your home; meter base (if provided by your utility, we will install it); exterior breaker panel/fuse box, weatherhead, insulator, conduit and riser; meter pole owned by you; and wiring to detached garages, secondary buildings/pools, and outdoor outlets/lighting/fixtures/fittings connected to your system. Repair of broken or hazardous outdoor outlets and lighting fittings/fixtures on your property that are connected to your system are also covered. Reimbursement, up to the benefit amount, to replace broken fittings/fixtures is also included. Technicians must have safe access to the work area.
Not covered: Damage from disconnection or interruption to the main electrical supply; transformers; repair of wiring connected to or any part of the following: doorbells, smoke detectors, garage doors, and thermostats and similar type systems; generators; non-utility supplied power and/or lines; appliances; meter pedestals; pool heaters; remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials; any sections/parts not installed properly; repairs or replacement protected under other coverage; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). The meter that measures the amount of electricity used is not covered by this plan, but it is covered by Public Service Company of Oklahoma. If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, giving you 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid, where applicable).
