Important coverage information
Eligible
- To be eligible, you must own the residential single structure or a unit within a structure
- If your line extends beyond the walls of your home, you must own the land the line is on
- If you own a multi-family home or multiple housing units, provide the mailing address for each service agreement
Not Eligible
- If your home is a recreational vehicle, intended to be moved, or used for commercial purposes
- You know of any current problems with your line at enrollment or your line was not installed per code
- Your entire line is shared with a 3rd party or covered by an association
Exclusions
- Meter moves or replacements except when required by local code; appliances, fixtures, systems not supplied by a utility or propane provider, appliance regulators, remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials; any sections/parts not installed properly; repairs or replacement protected under other coverage; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe. Additional exclusions apply.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the following for which you have sole responsibility, that has experienced an operational failure and is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: the gas line from your utility’s responsibility or external propane tank outlet connection up to and including the appliance connectors located either inside or outside your home, and extension gas lines that exit your home up to and including the appliance connectors. Technicians must have safe access to the work area.
Not covered: Meter moves or replacements except when required by local code; appliances, fixtures, systems not supplied by a utility or propane provider, appliance regulators, remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials; any sections/parts not installed properly; repairs or replacement protected under other coverage; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: You can make a service call immediately after your plan starts, which is 30 days after your enrollment is processed. Upon renewal/restart (if applicable), you can make a service call immediately.
Cancellation: Cancel your plan any time by calling HomeServe or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days before your plan start date, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 30 days after the plan start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid). If you cancel 31 or more days after the plan start date, you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
