The Tankless Water Heater Coverage provides covers the costs to repair a tankless-based electric, natural gas or propane water heater that is damaged from normal wear and tear. With a repair plan from HomeServe, you can help protect yourself from the cost and hassle of emergency water heater repairs.
Important coverage information
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair the following for which you have sole responsibility, that has experienced an operational failure and is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: the tankless water heater fueled by natural gas, propane, or electricity that is rated at inputs of 200,000 Btu/hr or less. Coverage provides for repairs only. Your system will not be replaced. Tune-Up: You are entitled to one annual tune-up. Tune-ups are performed between March 1 and September 30. Tune-ups requested outside this time frame are subject to an additional fee after the first term. Repair Access: A 15% discount on any non-covered work performed on your system. Technicians must have safe access to the work area.
Not covered: Damage due to restricted lines or water pressure over 80 P.S.I.; damage or loss of performance due to water quality not meeting the manufacturer’s water quality guidelines; remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials; any sections/parts not installed properly; repairs or replacement protected under other coverage; any inspections, seasonal turn-on/offs, or maintenance work not stated to be included in a tune-up, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: You can make a service call immediately after your plan starts, which is 10 days after your enrollment is processed. Upon renewal/restart (if applicable), you can make a service call immediately.
Cancellation: Cancel your plan any time by calling HomeServe or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days before your plan start date, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 30 days after the plan start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid). If you cancel 31 or more days after the plan start date, you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
