Eligible
- To be eligible, you must own or rent the residential single structure or a unit within a structure
Not Eligible
- If your home is a recreational vehicle, intended to be moved, or is used for commercial purposes
- You know of any current problems with your electrical products before enrollment or it's not installed according to manufacturer specifications
- Your electrical products are entirely shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners’ association
- In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units
Exclusions
- HVAC systems, sump pumps, medical equipment, electric vehicles; items less than $100; and electrical products that cannot be replaced with like kind and quality (e.g. antiques). Costs on covered repairs may exceed the benefit limit, in which case you pay the difference between the cost and the benefit limit. Additional exclusions apply.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the benefit amount, to repair or replace electrical products that have experienced an operational failure due to an electrical surge, for which you have sole responsibility.
Not covered: HVAC systems, sump pumps, medical equipment, electric vehicles; items less than $100; and electrical products that cannot be replaced with like kind and quality (e.g. antiques). Costs on covered repairs may exceed the benefit limit, in which case you pay the difference between the cost and the benefit limit. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: You can make a claim immediately after your plan starts, which is 30 days after your enrollment is processed. Upon renewal/restart (if applicable), you can make a claim immediately. You must call HomeServe within 30 days of an electrical surge event to start a claim.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe at 1-833-334-1874 or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days before your plan start date, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 30 days after the plan start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid). If you cancel 31 or more days after the plan start date, you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
