Important coverage information
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, for the following for which you have sole responsibility, that has experienced an operational failure or is hazardous and is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Interior Electrical Line: Repair or replacement of the broken or frayed (in the case of wiring) permanent electrical wiring from the service entrance wiring at the weatherhead or tap underground up to the switches and outlets in your home. The breaker panel/fuse box (inside or outside), switches and outlets in your home, and disconnect boxes and all wiring, breakers and switches contained within them are also covered. Electric Vehicle Home Charger: Reimbursement for 1 broken level 2 electrical charging device used to charge plug-in electric or hybrid vehicles. Technicians must have safe access to the work area.
Not covered: Remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials; any sections/parts not installed properly; repairs or replacement protected under other coverage; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters) and the following product-specific exclusions. Interior Electrical Line: Appliances; service entrance conductors; knob and tube wiring, aluminum, or non-standard/non-permanent materials; damage or failure due to disconnection or interruption to the main electrical supply; repair of wiring connected to or any part of the following: doorbells, smoke detectors, garage door systems, thermostats and similar type systems. Additional exclusions apply. Electric Vehicle Home Charger: Reimbursement for a charger covered by another plan or involved in a recall; or for failure from external factors (e.g., corrosion, warping, bending, animals), improper removal/installation of parts, or malwares. Additional exclusions apply. If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: You can make a service call immediately after your plan starts, which is 30 days after your enrollment is processed. Upon renewal/restart (if applicable), you can make a service call immediately. Call HomeServe to request reimbursement prior to purchasing a replacement EV Charger.
Cancellation: Cancel your plan any time by calling HomeServe at 1-833-500-2624 or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days before your plan start date, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 30 days after the plan start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid). If you cancel 31 or more days after the plan start date, you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
