Important coverage information
Eligibility: To be eligible, you must own or rent the residential single structure or a unit within a structure. If you own or rent a multi-family home or multiple housing units, provide the mailing address for each service agreement. You are not eligible if your home is a recreational vehicle, intended to be moved, or used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your electrical products at enrollment; your electrical products were not installed per code or per manufacturer specifications; your electrical products are shared with a 3rd party or covered by an association.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the benefit amount, reimbursement to repair or replace electrical products in your home for which you have sole responsibility, that have experienced an operational failure due to an electrical surge. Reimbursement up to the benefit amount for diagnostic charges and/or service fees for a covered repair is also included.
Not covered: Sump pumps, medical equipment; power tools, electrical products that cannot be plugged in or have a replacement value of less than $100; electric vehicles; cost to repair, replace, or remove electrical products affixed in your home, loss or corruption of data and restoration of software and operating systems and electrical products that cannot be replaced with like kind and quality; remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials, any sections/parts not installed properly, repairs or replacement protected under other coverage, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: Your coverage starts once your enrollment is received and processed by HomeServe, and you can make a service call as soon as your plan starts.
Cancellation: Cancel your plan any time by calling HomeServe or visiting www.homeserve.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days before your plan start date, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 30 days after the plan start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid). If you cancel 31 or more days after the plan start date, you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.

Heating System: Air scoops, aquastat, barometric damper, belts, pulleys, blower motors, blower assemblies, circuit boards, circulators, ECO safeties, fan controls, limit controls, fusible links, gas valves, ignition controls, induced draft motor, blower, low water cutoff, main burners, pilot burners, pilots, thermocouples, pressure switches, regulator valves, relays, spill switches, and transformers. Heat Pump/Cooling System: Capacitors, circuit boards, internal fuses, breakers, condensate pumps, condenser motor, condenser fan, contactor switches, delay timer, fan controls, fan relays, filter dryer, high and low pressure switches, limit controls; up to 1 pound of refrigerant, relays, defrost controls, defrost sensors, transformers, and valves. Coverage provides for repairs or replacement of parts only. Your systems will not be replaced.

Remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials, any sections/parts not installed properly, repairs or replacement protected under other coverage, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters) and the following product-specific exclusions. Heating System: Air ducts, registers, air filters, zoning components and electronics, electronic air cleaners, flue venting, humidifiers, thermostats, thermostat wiring, air balancing, chimney maintenance or repairs, heating jacket, asbestos or other insulation; heat exchangers, leaking boilers, boiler distribution piping, radiators. Additional exclusions apply. Heat Pump/Cooling System: Air ducts, a/c coils, registers, grilles, asbestos coverings, balancing of system, wiring and parts external to the unit, compressors or chillers, condenser casings, condenser coils, evaporator coils, metering systems/TXV valves, refrigerant for maintenance recharges, more than 1 pound of refrigerant, thermostats, thermostat wiring, refrigerant conversions; disconnect boxes and all wiring, breakers and switches contained within them. Additional exclusions apply. Technicians must have safe access to the work area. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe.
