Repair of broken or hazardous outdoor outlets and lighting fittings/fixtures on your property that are connected to your system are also covered. Reimbursement, up to the benefit amount, to replace broken fittings/fixtures is also included. Technicians must have safe access to the work area.
Not covered: Damage from disconnection or interruption to the main electrical supply; transformers; repair of wiring connected to or any part of the following: doorbells, smoke detectors, garage doors, and thermostats and similar type systems; generators; non-utility supplied power and/or lines; appliances; meter pedestals; pool heaters; remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials; any sections/parts not installed properly; repairs or replacement protected under other coverage; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). The meter that measures the amount of electricity used is not covered by this plan, but it is covered by Alabama Power Company. If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by HomeServe. Additional exclusions apply.
