Bal-loony fundraising campaign helps company donate more than £2,000 for Marie Curie
Hundreds of heart-shaped balloons have literally ‘popped’ up in HomeServe’s offices in Walsall, Preston, London, Banbury and Nottingham as generous staff showed each other some love and helped donate thousands of pounds to charity.
HomeServe staff were able buy the balloons, inspired by Valentine’s Day, from a flutter of caring cupids dotted around each of HomeServe’s UK locations and send them secretly to People around the business who have made a positive difference to them during the past year.
Collectively, caring colleagues taking part in the bal-loony February fundraising campaign have donated more than £2,000 to Marie Curie with hundreds of balloons filling offices over the past week alone.
“Love is certainly in the air in our offices at the moment!” said HomeServe’s Chief Marketing Officer Greg Reed, who received ‘a very special handful or two’ of balloons himself. “Saying thank you to each other is part of our every day culture, but the balloons offered our People were a really fun way to show some love and thank each other personally.
“Our People really got behind this with balloons literally filling our offices! Most importantly, it’s been a fantastic way to donate to an incredible charity which has been close to our own hearts for many years.”
The February balloon fundraising campaign is one element of HomeServe’s commitment to supporting its local communities and charities across the UK.
