HomeServe rated top 3 UK company for work life balance

HomeServe has today (Tuesday, 30 August) been named as one of the UK’s best companies for supporting its employees’ work-life balance.

The UK home assistance company came third in a study by independent jobs and recruiting marketplace company Glassdoor, which rates companies based on the feedback from their employees. Only financial recruiters Goodman Masson (1st) and telecommunications company Cisco Systems rated higher.

According to data from Glassdoor*, the average work-life balance rating across all companies for full year 2013, 2014 and 2015 remained at 3.2 in 2016. HomeServe came third with a score of 4.2, only 0.1 behind table-topping Goodman Mason.

HomeServe’s score of 4.2 puts them above American Express, BP, Unilever, Telefónica, Rolls Royce, John Lewis and Apple for helping staff achieve the best work-life balance.

Methodology: For a company to be considered in Glassdoor’s report, Highest Rated UK Companies For Work-Life Balance, a minimum number of 50 work-life balance ratings must have been submitted by UK-based employees between 31/07/2015 and 30/07/2016.  All academia-related institutions or workplaces are excluded from these rankings.
