Leading UK home assistance company, HomeServe, is pioneering a new content-led approach to engaging UK homeowners – using Ketchup!

Celebrated bloggers and contributors - including BBC Gardener’s World presenter, Guardian writer and food lover Alys Fowler, award-winning money blogger Ricky Willis (aka “Skint Dad”) and Rugby World Cup-winning HomeServe plumber Marlie Packer – are joining HomeServe’s “Ketchup” content revolution.

Ketchup will host handy hints and videos; its own Ketchup TV channel, as well as blogs on a range of topics such as gardening, family finance, moving home, engineering and sport.

“When we make a considered purchase, we look to the internet to help us choose and part of that process will include looking at online content.” said Greg Reed, HomeServe’s Chief Marketing Officer, “Ketchup isn’t just a new channel for us to deliver the HomeServe story, it’s a way for us to build trust and relationships with consumers without the sell. We see it as the essential ingredient to every home!”

The mobile-responsive hub provides a useful one-stop shop for homeowners looking for tips for dealing with a range of common home problems or repairs. It will also showcase the many charity and social partnerships HomeServe shares in the UK.

“We’re excited about what we can achieve through Ketchup, it’s something we hope really resonates with our communities and consumers.” added John Greaves, HomeServe’s Corporate Affairs Director. “It gives us a platform to house fantastic, high quality content in a single location - content that delivers on our brand promise to make life easier for people and content that reflects the fact that our Customers are at the heart of everything we do.

“We have some fantastic people on board to support us already; however, we want to give our own communities the platform to help shape it themselves through their engagement, interest and debate. As such, we’re really open-minded about how we can co-create content with as many people as possible, so if people are interested in blogging or helping us deliver this, we’d welcome those discussions.”
