Hip, Hip, Hippo!

Thanks to funding from HomeServe, the support of Walsall FC and Walsall Council, and the dedication and talent of local artist Saz from Human Canvas Tattoo Studio in Walsall, the iconic town centre sculpture has been painted in Walsall FC’s club colours in advance of the club’s Wembley Johnstone’s Paint Trophy showdown later this month.

Now the Walsall community, fans and visitors are being urged to take their own selfies with Hoppy - a 40-year mainstay in the town – which is now proudly wearing the club’s colours, and then share it in social.

“We’re with Walsall all the way”, said John Greaves, HomeServe’s Director of Corporate Affairs, “and we’re delighted to be able to help find fun ways to paint the town red in advance of Walsall’s special day at Wembley. I’ve been down to see the sculpture several times and have my own selfie which I’ve shared with family and friends. We hope that many others do the same and take the time to post their selfies to our UK Facebook page or tweet them to us.”

People across the community, fans and visitors can share their selfies with @HomeServeUK on Twitter and Facebook using #withwalsall.
