HomeServe and football club friends raise over £60,000!

For the eighth consecutive year, HomeServe once again opened its Walsall Call Centre to support Comic Relief on Friday 23rd March 2012. A record 300 volunteers answered nearly 2,000 donation calls while the live show was broadcast by the BBC. Together we helped raise over £60,000 to support extremely vulnerable people in the UK and Africa.

West Midland football club mascots; Hercules from Aston Villa, Beau and Belle from Birmingham City and Wolfie from Wolverhampton Wanderers joined in the carnival atmosphere.

Sarah Palmer, National Charity Manager enthused, 'This was HomeServe's best Sport Relief night ever; I'd like to personally thank all our volunteers. To help raise over £60,000 in just five hours is an incredible achievement. We even had a single donation for £2,000! It always amazes me how generous the great British public is, even in these difficult times'.
