About East Midlands

This region is a mix of dreary industrial sections and incredible scenery, particularly in the Peak District National Park, centred in Derbyshire. The East Midlands incorporates most of the eastern half of the traditional Midlands region. It consists of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. In Nottinghamshire, the city of Nottingham is a good centre for exploring what's left of Sherwood Forest, the legendary home of Robin Hood.
