In the event that your boiler breaks down and needs repairing, we'll send an approved Gas Safe™ registered engineer to fix your problem. Plus get an annual boiler service, which could to help to protect your gas boiler against the inconvenience of a breakdown or repair.

Gas Boiler Breakdown Cover plus Annual Boiler Service

Gas Boiler Breakdown
A leak within or breakdown of the 'natural gas' gas central
heating boiler
Replace heat exchanger
Unable to control the temperature or timings of your boiler
There is no claims limit and no limit to the number of claims
provided the boiler is not beyond economical repair

Annual Boiler Service

Your policy includes provision for an annual gas boiler service. This is not an element of insurance and therefore is not part of the contract of insurance, underwritten by the underwriter and is not regulated by the FSA. This also means that if you have any complaint relating to this service, you will not have the right to refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. We will contact you to arrange for an engineer to service the gas fired boiler to statutory requirements, manufacturer's recommendations and relevant codes of practice. Boiler services are normally undertaken Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, between April and September.

Excess Amount Payable

You will have to pay the first £50 of any claim. We can only accept payment using the following cards: MasterCard, Switch Maestro, Visa or Visa Delta. A separate excess payment is required for each area of policy coverage affected by a claim, whether for a single incident which requires you to claim under more than one area of policy coverage or for each new unrelated claim you make. Excess payment(s) will be taken when you call to make a claim. Please see the policy Terms & Conditions for further details.

Gas Boiler Breakdown
Repair, replacement or continued coverage of a boiler which is
beyond economical repair (if the cost of parts inc VAT, is more
than 85% of the retail price of the boiler)
Any part of the domestic gas central heating system (such as the
hot water cylinder, radiators and cold water tank)
Repairs if we have advised you to carry out maintenance work to
prevent a future breakdown (until that work is complete)
Repairs, where due to obsolete parts, we can no longer cover you
(your policy will have been cancelled)

This policy is for homeowners only.

Retail, commercial and other premises used for business are not eligible for this cover, and council and housing association tenants will not need this service.

The property must be supplied with gas from the mains, be your permanent home and owned and solely occupied by you and your family as a private residence with no business use.

Mobile homes, bedsits, sub-divided homes and let and sub-let properties are not covered.
