Diagnose cool radiators in one part of the house

When your central heating system isn't working in one part of the home you may have a problem with your heating system's 'zones'. Zones allow you to set different parts of the system at different temperatures.

A faulty zone timer or thermostat

Check the timer control or thermostat in the zone that isn't working. It may be faulty or have a problem with its power supply, so you may just have to replace a battery.

The zone valve is faulty

Open and close valves control the supply of hot water to the radiators. If the zone valve is faulty it may need repairing or replacing and the system will need draining.
