Renew a policy

Don't get caught without cover when you need us the most

Our customers hold policies with us to get help fast and avoid some of the stress, hassle and expense that an unexpected home emergency can cause.

But if your policy has lapsed and a crisis hits; there's nothing we can do within the lapsed policy.  You may still use Homeserve Repair Services by booking a tradesman directly and paying for the repair.

You cover will expire after 12 months or at the end of your policy, when there is a 60-day time frame in which you can still renew.

We normally write to you 21 days prior to your renewal date.  Please ensure that your cover is still suitable and check your cancellation rights with a Homeserve Representative

After this, you'll have to rejoin. That means you will have to go through the standard waiting period before you can claim.

That also means that pre-existing problems and guaranteed work will no longer be covered.

It's easy to renew, and you can do it quickly with one phonecall - you don't even have to fill out a form. So there's no reason to get caught without cover.

How do I renew my policy?

  1. For Direct Debit customers: your policy will renew automatically, there's no need to do anything.
  2. If you pay by credit or debit card, your policy will not automatically renew:
    • Call 0800 694 7300
    • Select ‘Policy Renewal' from the menu options
    • Confirm your details, you'll find these on our letters to you
    • Provide payment details
    • Listen to your personal policy information, which will include future payment details
