How we vet tradesman

We visit your premises
We take a copy of your up to date Public Liability Certificate, we insist on a minimum cover of £5,000,000 in case of accidents
We validate your relevant trade certificates
We ask you to agree to Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, expected work standards and our standard processes and procedures
We ask you to sign the HomeServe Health and Safety statement
A HomeServe Director gives you the final approval

Gas engineers and installers – Gas Safe Register*
Plumbers – City & Guilds, NVQs, IPHE, SNIPEF, WIAPS, APHC
Drainage plumbers – City & Guilds, NVQs
Electricians – NICEIC, ECA, SELECT
Pest Controllers – BPCA
Locksmiths – Master Locksmiths Association
Roofers – NFRC

* From 1 April 2009 Gas Safe Register™ is the new name and official stamp for gas safety in Great Britain and will replace the CORGI gas register.
