We make every effort to ensure that the Web site is accessible to as many people as possible, in compliance with W3C best practice accessibility guidelines. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Level 2.

In doing so, we are acting in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Part Four (as amended by Special Educational Needs Disability Act 2001) and the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.

Make the most of your visit to the HomeServe website with the following tips...

Increase the font size and type

For improved visibility you can increase (or decrease) the size of text and alter the choice of font.

Internet Explorer users

  1. Open your Internet Options window by going to View (or Tools if you have it) and scrolling down.
  2. Choose Fonts and select your preferred style, alphabet and size, then click OK.
  3. Go to Accessibility within Internet Options and click on Ignore font styles/font sizes specified on Web pages.
  4. When you click OK, this should ensure that the page you are viewing now appears with your specifications.

Mozilla Firefox users

  1. Open your Options window by going to Tools and scrolling down.
  2. Click on the Content tab, under Fonts and Colors.
  3. Select your desired font size.

Change text and background colour

You may require specific colours in order to be able to view the website more easily.

Internet Explorer users

  1. Go to Internet Options (as above) and choose Colors.
  2. You can change text and background page colour as well as the colour in which links appear, and then click OK.
  3. Choose Accessibility from within Internet Options and click on Ignore colors specified on Web pages.

Can I use the HomeServe website if I have JavaScript disabled on my browser?

Yes. Having JavaScript turned off will not stop you from accessing any areas or using any of our functions.

How can I listen to the PDF documents on your website?

Download Adobe Reader then select 'View', then 'Read out loud' and your computer will dictate the document.
